 40 sheets were machined to open 20holes of φ12×250mm in SUS304 plate material(250×1100×t40) Processing itself is easy, but drilling φ12×250mm holes with a twist drill requires troublesome work, such as correction of hole bending and removal of chips etc. So this time, it was processed using MC gun drill.

 There was a possibillity that the discharge amount of cutting oil could have been less than normal, but the operation ened without trouble.

 The machining from both sides using twist drill took 8 hours per item, but it was reduced to 2.5hours, when using MC gun drill.(68.7%reduction)
 Commentary
Since the cutting oil device of the machining center does not have a special specification, BIC tool through holder turbo type is used for securing discharge pressure.

 。The machining conditions were S=1857(V=70)F=37(0.02r・e・v),and the guide hole of φ12H7, instead of the guide bush, was machined in the work.
